Independence Day & 153rd Birth Anniversary of Sri Aurobindo Celebration

Sri Aurobindo Sakti Centre, with its units — Sri Aurobindo Bal Mandir School, Art Music & Dance Section, and Sri Ma Library — will celebrate Independence Day and the 153rd Birth Anniversary of Sri Aurobindo on Friday, 15 August 2025. The programme will begin with the National Flag hoisting at 8:00 am, followed by a dance recital. Meditation at the Shrine will take place at 10:30 am, and the cultural programme will start at 11:00 am, featuring a sitar recital and devotional and patriotic songs by Miss Meghna Ganguly, vocal artist of AIR and Doordarshan, Siliguri. All are warmly invited to spend this auspicious morning at the Centre.
