Description
Sri Arvind Kendra is a prominent spiritual center located in Sector-23, Gandhinagar, the capital city of Gujarat, India.
Established on May 1, 1980, the Kendra serves as a hub for the teachings of The Mother and Sri Aurobindo. The physical infrastructure developed over the following years, with the main building construction completed in 1990. Significant milestones include the inauguration of the meditation hall in 1992 and the installation of Relics in 1993.
The Kendra is spread across a total land area of 1000 square meters and comprises two buildings. It features a very rich library stocked with abundant literature on The Mother, Sri Aurobindo, and other notable spiritual personalities.
The center operates under the dynamic and spiritual leadership of its Chairman, Dr. Chandrkant K. Tanna, supported by a board of eight other trustees.

Regular Activities Conducted In The Centre
Our center is dedicated to the awakening and dissemination of the teachings and vision of The Mother and Sri Aurobindo within the community, fostering a holistic approach to life through Integral Yoga. We host a wide variety of cultural, spiritual, and wellness activities designed to nourish the body, mind, and spirit.
We offer extensive classes and activities in the arts, music, and spiritual practices:
Classical Arts:
Kanthya Sangit (Shastriya Sangeet) (Vocal Classical Music), Kathak Nrutya and Bharat Natyam (Classical Dance), Instrumental Music (Vaadan): Harmonium / Casio, Tabla, Guitar, Violin, and Bansari (Flute)
Wellness & Inner Growth:
Yogasan and Pranayam classes, Aerobic classes for women, Karate classes, Spiritual reading and Collective Meditations
Creative Arts:
Drawing and Calligraphy classes

In service of inner harmony, we also provide:
A Counseling Clinic for psychologically disturbed patients. We arrange the staging of a drama based on Savitri: A Legend and a Symbol by Sri Aurobindo.
Our center actively promotes the study and practice of Integral Yoga:
We regularly arrange lectures and talks by various experts on literature related to The Mother and Sri Aurobindo’s teachings. We conduct specialized Shibirs (group retreats) for Sadhaks (spiritual aspirants). We conduct programs in educational institutes for students, introducing them to the teaching and vision of The Mother and Sri Aurobindo. We publish books related to the teachings of The Mother and Sri Aurobindo.
To help support the center and connect with the spiritual atmosphere of the Ashram, we facilitate:
The selling of cottage products from Pondicherry Ashram, including incense sticks, dhoop sticks, soap, books, and other items.
What Center Offers
