Sri Aurobindo Karmi Sangha, Matrimandir, Habra was founded in 1955, coincided with Mother’s Birthday. 70 years since, at the service of the Mother & Sri Aurobindo. Sangha runs one primary school named Sri Aurobindo Education Centre, Habra aiming to provide value based education. Maintains two storied guest house named – ASHRAYA. Relics was enshrined on 4th August, 1996. Has one Publication Division. In all, 16 books both in Bengali and English are published from the centre. Detailed list of books is available on the site. Besides, it also maintains one Gallery depicting various photographs of Sri Aurobindo and his activities. Amongst old members, only two members i.e. Shri Gobindo Lal Chakraborty & Shri Kamalesh Mitra are alive. Presently, the Centres has members between the age group of 40-50-60. They are actively involved in the services of the Mother & Sri Aurobindo. For further details, members may visit our website, too.

Regular Activities Conducted In The Centre
Flower Decoration of the Shrine every morning on regular basis ; held reading selections from writings of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo in the evening - while not strictly daily. This is followed by a period of evening meditation; Opening of the Sale Counter and Library and conduct of Kar Seva & Swadhaya periodically etc. etc.

What Center Offers
As previously mentioned above, the Sangha has two storied guest house with adequate rooms for boarding and lodging for the seekers and visitors. Certainly, prior intimation is required for room bookings.
What Center Needs
Dearth of volunteers to engage for Divine Service is indeed a concern these days. However, this aspect can be discussed orally in any get-together or meeting.
