Sri Aurobindo Sadhak Sangha Trust, Shibpur

Description

With the glow of The Divine heritage, this ancient Spiritual Centre of West Bengal began its sacred journey in the year 1930.
Its founder, Sri Srischandra Goswami, was a devoted disciple illumined by the vision of Sri Aurobindo.
Every wall of this centre still resonates with the touch of that glorious history — each brick and courtyard echoing the memory of spiritual awakening.

Within its premises lies a rich library, housing not only the writings of Sri Aurobindo and The Mother but also many other texts filled with the essence of spiritual wisdom.
Every year, on the 15th of August — the Birth Anniversary of Sri Aurobindo — the centre publishes its own journal : Ritambhara, first launched in 1978 on the auspicious occasion of The Mother’s Birth Centenary.

Alongside daily prayers and collective meditations, regular classes in music and yoga are held each week — forming an integral part of the centre’s spiritual discipline.
The centre also organizes an annual quiz competition, where students from nearby schools participate with enthusiasm.

In addition, through its official YouTube channel, the centre conducts online sessions on various aspects of Sri Aurobindo’s Yoga and Teachings.
On the sacred birthdays of Sri Aurobindo and The Mother, as well as on other special days, the centre adorns itself anew — filled with the fragrance of the collective Prayers and Devotions.

Thus, throughout the year, through numerous spiritual observances and cultural offerings,
the centre continues to move forward on its path toward perfection — where each day becomes a new journey of light, an expansion of the soul and a deepening communion with The Divine.
