Dilip Kumar Roy Memorial Lecture

In 1988, Shri Rajjeshwar Mitra, a devoted admirer and close associate of Dilip Kumar Roy (Dadaji), delivered a soulful lecture titled “Dadaji & His Sangeet” at an event organised by Surokabo Trust. In this moving address, he explored the spiritual depth, musical genius, and inner devotion that defined Dadaji’s sangeet — a unique blend of bhakti, classical purity, and mystic fervour.

This year, we revisit that memorable moment through a multimedia presentation that brings together:
The original audio recording of Shri Mitra’s 1988 lecture, Photographs and visuals of Dadaji, and selected musical pieces composed or inspired by Dadaji, which reflect the essence of the talk.
Through this event, we pay homage not only to Dadaji’s music but also to the enduring inspiration he continues to offer generations of seekers and artists alike.
